Cleanings & Check-ups

We know it is important to you to keep your teeth healthy and to save your natural teeth for as long as possible. No matter what condition your teeth are in, right now is the best time to begin taking care of them. We can help, and it's easier than you think. Even if you have been afraid to visit the dentist, please come and see us. Dr. Benk will give you a very careful evaluation and help you to take care of and preserve your teeth, one step at a time.

Check-ups

At the Atlanta Dental Center we complete a comprehensive exam when you schedule your first check-up. This includes digital x-rays and a full oral exam, a complete periodontal exam and a cancer screening.

Comfortable Injections

Our patients routinely comment on how comfortable and gentle their treatments. This is in no small part due to "The Wand" injection system.

In most cases the pain associated with injections comes from the flow of the anesthetic into the body, as opposed to the insertion of the needle itself. The Wand is a computer-controlled anesthetic distribution system that is designed to prevent any pain at all. It evenly flows into the system so that only the exact part of the mouth being treated is numbed, and it does it with such accuracy that it is in fact comfortable.

Teeth Cleaning

We have several excellent dental hygienists who are very experienced, and know how to clean your teeth gently, and very thoroughly. Our lead hygienist as been with us for over 15 years.

Good oral hygiene is important to prevent a variety of dental and medical problems. Recent research has shown that the bacteria present in gum disease are also found in the plaques clogging arteries in people with heart disease.

Therefore, a good professional cleaning is essential not only for the health of your teeth, but also for your general well-being.

The sensors are also smaller and more comfortable, making the process of taking X-rays easier, more efficient and far more comfortable, even for gaggers and children.

Fillings

Fillings are a fast and painless procedure with us. You will hardly feel your shot, if at all, and we always use high-quality composite (white) fillings.

Extractions and root canals

Most extractions, including some routine removal of wisdom teeth, can be carried out in our office. In fact, with CEREC restorations, most root-canals can be compelted in a single visit, including placing the final permanent crown.
